Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, driven and results-oriented Head of Sales to lead and scale our national sales operations. This role is central to driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and ensuring effective distribution of our clean cooking solutions across Nigeria. The Head of Sales will work closely with operations, finance, and management to translate strategy into commercial success.

Sales Leadership & Execution (50%)

  • Develop and execute a nationwide sales strategy and the according sales organization that is made to scale
  • Lead, manage, and expand the sales team, including regional and field sales structures
  • Built successful sales models around traditional structures of Hakimi, Mai Unguwa and saving groups
  • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and ensure consistent achievement of revenue and volume goals.
  • Oversee distributor, wholesaler, and retailer relationships to ensure strong market penetration.
  • Implement sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking systems.

Stakeholder & Channel Management (30%)

  • Work closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and cash collection.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial partners, NGOs, and institutional buyers.
  • Represent ACSL in high-level commercial negotiations and partnership discussions.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product and pricing decisions.

Strategy & Market Development (20%)

  • Identify and develop new sales channels and geographic markets across Nigeria.
  • Contribute to long-term business planning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support the design of affordability, micro-credit, and subsidy-linked sales models.
  • Use data-driven insights to strengthen ACSL’s position as a leading clean-cooking organisation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in direct sales roles and leadership positions, preferably in manufacturing, or distribution-heavy environments.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets at scale.
  • Experience building and managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience working with distributors and informal retail networks.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM or sales reporting systems.
  • Business-fluent English.
  • Willingness to relocate to Kano.

Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the General Manager of atmosfair Climate & Sustainability Ltd. and maintain close coordination with the management of atmosfair gGmbH, based in Berlin, Germany.

Working Hours:

Standard full-time work hours are 40 hours weekly (Monday to Friday). Additional hours may be required to meet company targets and may include some weekend work. All extra hours will be appropriately compensated.
