Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Head of Monitoring & Evaluation to lead our monitoring team and oversee the integrity, analysis, and reporting of operational datasets The role combines team leadership, data governance, and analytical oversight, ensuring that operational and sales data are accurately captured, validated, and translated into reliable performance metrics. Key responsibilities include:

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Lead and manage the team of Monitoring Officers, including task coordination, quality oversight, and capacity development.
• Ensure monitoring activities are aligned across departments and support operational priorities.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, particularly Sales and management teams, as well as relevant colleagues in Germany, to strengthen monitoring systems and reporting standards.

Coordination of Data Acquisition

• Oversee the collection and consolidation of operational and sales-related data across all relevant channels.
• Work closely with the Sales team to ensure sales activities are accurately captured, validated, and integrated into central monitoring datasets.
• Establish and maintain clear processes for timely, complete, and reliable data acquisition from sales operations.
• Follow up on missing or inconsistent data and support teams in resolving reporting gaps.

Data Governance & Analysis

• Take ownership of large-scale datasets used for operational monitoring and reporting.
• Ensure data quality through validation, consistency checks, and continuous improvement of data handling processes.
• Lead the analysis and evaluation of datasets to generate reliable reporting outputs and decision-support insights.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong university degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics, Business, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in operations and data governance.
• Proven track record of working with large operational datasets and data validation processes.
• Experience leading teams and managing field data acquisition/monitoring operations.
• International or cross-cultural work experience is highly desirable
• Business-fluent English is required.
• Willingness to relocate to Kano and work in a fast-growing production environment.
• Strong motivation to contribute to climate protection and sustainable development.

Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the General Manager of atmosfair Climate & Sustainability Ltd. and maintain a dotted line to the management of atmosfair gGmbH, based in Berlin, Germany.
