Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Head of Finance & Controlling to lead all financial and controlling functions and act as a key partner to operations and management. This role is central to ensuring financial transparency, discipline, and strategic decision support as we scale our clean cooking business across Nigeria. Key responsibilities are:
Financial Oversight (50%)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure sustainable growth.
- Oversee accounting, controlling, liquidity, and risk management, ensuring full compliance.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports, KPIs, and analyses to support management decisions.
- Implement and optimise ERP-based processes connecting production, inventory, sales, and payments.
- Build, lead, and develop the finance and controlling team.
Stakeholder Management (30%)
- Work closely with sales, operations, and HR to integrate financial insights into decision-making.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, service providers, and governmental authorities.
- Represent ACSL confidently in high-level institutional discussions and negotiations with professionalism and confidence.
Strategy (20%)
- Contribute to long-term business planning, including financial models for expansion and subsidy design.
- Develop financial structures to support micro-credit and affordability schemes for low-income households.
- Provide data-driven input to strengthen ACSL’s role as a leading clean-cooking organisation in Nigeria.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
- Registration as a Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance and controlling, ideally in manufacturing or a related industry.
- Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, working capital management, and financial reporting.
- Experience leading finance teams and establishing efficient financial processes and systems
- Prior experience engaging with governmental institutions and confidence in high-level discussions.
- International or cross-cultural work experience is highly desirable.
- Strong affinity for numbers and business metrics, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Business-fluent English.
- Willingness to relocate to Kano.
Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the General Manager of atmosfair Climate & Sustainability Ltd. and maintain a dotted line to the management of atmosfair gGmbH, based in Berlin, Germany.

Working Hours:
Standard full-time work hours are 40 hours weekly (Monday to Friday).
Additional hours may be required to meet production targets and could involve some weekend work. All extra hours will be appropriately compensated.
